Southeastern Cushman Club By-Laws

(Read and approved by the 1996 Board Members)

 

ARTICLE I - Name

The name of the organization shall be the Southeastern Cushman Club.

 

ARTICLE II - Object

Section 1 - The object of the Southeastern Cushman Club is to be a family club.

Section 2 - The Southeastern Cushman Club is dedicated to the preservation and restoration of Cushman Motor Scooters.

 

ARTICLE III - Members

Section 1 - Dues will be $20.00 per year, payable to the Southeastern Cushman Club, and submitted to the Secretary/Treasurer of the Club.

Section 2 - Any and all members will be required to sign a liability release form at each meet they attend.

Section 3 - The Club can and will send flowers to funeral services for any Club member or Club member's immediate family member if an officer is notified in time for the flower order to be called in prior to the funeral service.

Section 4 - There will be a registration fee at each meet payable to the Southeastern Cushman Club and submitted to the Secretary/Treasurer of the Club.

Section 5 - There will be two meets per year; the dates and location will be voted on by the members at the Spring Meet each year.

Section 6 - Judging of scooters will be by peoples' choice in all classes. Each member who registers and their spouse/guest will receive one ballot each.

Section 7 - There will be awards for riding/game events at each meet. These classes will be set by the host of each meet.

Section 8 - There will be group rides offered at each meet. These rides will be the responsibility of the host. Safety will come first and carry a very high priority.

Article IV - Officers

Section 1 - The Club shall have nine elected officers who are voted on every two years by the Club members. There will be a President, Vice-President, Secretary/Treasurer, Editor, and five Board Members.

Section 2 - Trophies will be awarded in several classes for Cushman Scooters. These classes will be set up by the Club's Board Members.

Section 3 - The Officers are not paid any money for their services. However, they pay no dues while in office and can be reimbursed for any out-of-pocket expenses obtaining to the club. Also the meet host can turn in receipts for expenses they incur for setting up the meet.

Section 4 - There will be a board meeting at least twice a year--one at each meet.

Section 5 - The elected Board reserves the right to remove anyone from the meet location that does not conduct themselves in a manner to support Article II, Section 1.
